We have on property natural spring-fed drinking water and ponds; chickens, rabbits and fish; solar electricty; and a great view of the sunset over the ocean from the house deck. Oh- and wifi. We get a good wifi from local cell towers, that is great for video conferencing, streaming etc. To arrive in Dominica, if coming from a high risk country, you will need to quarantine for a week and test negative. We offer quarantine services (costs $510 at government facilities) here -- the price is included in the monthly rate! A great deal! We are a 20 min walk from the bus - up a secluded jeep trail. Visitors here will likely want to rent a car occasionally to visit the rest of the island. It's best if you enjoy the nature here as much as we do ! This beautiful Holiday house “Cretan Sun ” is located in the Center of a traditional village Kondomárion . It is an old stone House, which is renovated but retains much of its traditional character. Firstly, the good size plot has a garden with various trees and flowers, roses and full year grass. In other words kids can play save and nice. We have a private parking space covered with green. A few stairs lead up one level above the road, where we find a nice comfortable terrace. Entering inside the residence we find a large open plan kitchen and dining area equipped with a fireplace. We run a small, complete apartment complex surrounded by beautiful gardens in the coastal village of Myrtos. The small complex is divided in two different locations nearby each other. Due to the higher location of Villa Aliki, our guests have a superb view on the sea, the magnificent mountains and the village of Myrtos. The shops, restaurants, boulevard and beach are situated at approx. 150-250 meters and can be reached by a donkey trail. The complex can be reached by car as well via an asphalt road. Using this road, the facilities are at about 400 meter distance. A visit to Mirtos is like a voyage back in time. As you enter the tiny seaside village you will be charmed by picture-postcard images. The little village of Mirtos spreads out alongside the sea, blending sweetly into the landscape. "Sweet Pigi", is our recently renovated family home in one of the most beautiful, historic and emblematic villages in Rethymnon area and can comfortably accommodate a family of 4 (exceptionally one more). It is located at the most enviable neighborhood of Pigi village, at the square of the patron church of Agios Nikolaos (Saint Nicholas), in a close walking distance of few meters from the village's shopping facilities, cafes and taverns which are among Rethymnon visitors favorite choices. For every day necessities a supermarket, a bakery, butcher’s shops, a pharmacy, as well as a bus stop can be found there too. Two parking areas in a very close distance can freely serve your cars. House structure The renovation on the building respected all the visible old masonry and plaster coating, leaving to a large extent their "rough" appearance. The house applies a green energy policy covering most of its electricity consumption from photovoltaic panels on the building's roof and providing hot water from a solar water heater. A modern form of thermal insulation has been applied to the building and in combination with the high tech air conditioners in all bedrooms and sitting rooms provide the conditions for a comfortable living in the summer. For the cooler months, a low consumption heat pump takes care of house's heating via underfloor heating. Additionally, high-aesthetically thermally insulated hinged aluminium doors and windows have been installed. Antbear Lodge is situated in the Drakensberg region of KwaZulu Natal near to Giants Castle. What makes our lodge particularly special is that we offer accommodation in a luxury cave. This is an accommodation unit built under a rock. Glass doors open onto a wooden deck with hammock chairs and a spectacular view of the Drakensberg Mountains. This is a luxury eco experience.
