Description
Caraga, officially referred to as the Caraga Administrative Region and labeled as Region XIII, stands as an administrative zone in the Philippines situated in the northeastern part of Mindanao. Its establishment dates back to February 23, 1995, under Republic Act No. 7901. The region comprises five provinces: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur, housing a total of 1,311 barangays and six cities: Bayugan, Bislig, Butuan, Cabadbaran, Surigao City, and Tandag. Among the prevalent languages spoken in the region are Cebuano, Surigaonon, Butuanon, Kamayo, Manobo, Tagalog, English, and various other minority languages.
