Description

HIGHLAND: A serene inland escape, surrounded by abundant wildlife in tranquil settings. Escape the city chaos to a quiet, nature-rich haven, perfect for digital nomads seeking work-life balance. Recharge in a serene environment where productivity meets personal well-being. Welcome to Highland—a haven for those who value natural tranquility and focus. Located 40km from Tagbilaran City, by public bus, or Vhire (a 1hr ride), which leave every 30mins from Dao bus terminal near ICM in Tagbilaran or taxi (found outside ICM and BQ malls) in Tagbilaran City. Gateways into Bohol are Tagbilaran Sea-port, Jagan Sea-port, Tubigon Sea-port and Tagbilaran (Panglao) international airport. HIGHLAND is located along the main highway, 1km before the Bilar public market. HIGHLAND is setback 20m off the main highway. There is a mini-food mart about 30m from Highland and less than 1km away a 7/11 is located. It's 1km to the local market, where daily supplies can be found. There is affordable food delivery in the area. Double check with us about the location, as some internet maps show us in the wrong location. As noted above, we are 1km BEFORE the market, when coming from Tagbilaran/Loboc direction. We are not after the market as shown of some google maps. We are the old butterfly conservation garden in Bilar. HIGHLAND offers 24\7 coworking space, with STARLINK internet. Spacious work space tables are available with comfortable chairs and universal outlets available. A printer/scanner is available and the owner is happy to be a soundboard during the day. HIGHLAND has back-up solar power so no need to worry about power outages. Despite its small size and basic amenities, HIGHLAND prioritizes the well-being and safety of its guests. CCTV cameras are placed in public areas, offering both safety and peace of mind. Standard room rates are complete with air-con, hot water shower, and continental breakfast. Fan rooms are available upon request at a cheaper rate than air-con rooms. Hot and cold drinking water is available for free. There is a small kitchen with cooker and refrigerator etc. There is a washing machine available. House-keeping services are included. The resort's in-house restaurant boasts a diverse menu featuring both local and international dishes. A standout feature is its specialization in plant-based food, catering to guests with a preference for vegetarian and vegan options. This culinary focus aligns with the resort's commitment to providing wholesome and sustainable dining choices. Nomad guests can immerse themselves in the peaceful ambiance with complimentary morning Qigong sessions, allowing them to start their day in harmony with nature. A short afternoon Qigong session is also available for busy Nomads to renew their afternoon energy and focus. For those seeking a deeper connection with the surroundings, Shinrin Yoku sessions are available upon request. These sessions, also known as "forest bathing," provide a therapeutic experience in the midst of nature. At HIGHLAND game nights and other social activities are on offer to take part in. There are waterfalls and cold water springs to explore around Bilar and a number of tourist sites are nearby. HIGHLAND has a 20year history, originally starting out as a butterfly conservation project, shaping its rich biodiversity surroundings and nature connection program HIGHLAND: A serene inland escape, surrounded by abundant wildlife in tranquil settings.
