Our Guesthouse is located in the heart of the historic old town of Bizerte and is a lovingly restored guest house that combines tradition, culture and modern comfort. The Andalusian-Tunisian style building exudes the charm of bygone times, while offering everything you need for a comfortable and productive life as a digital nomad. The rooms range in size from 18 to 55 square metres, are individually designed and combine a cosy atmosphere with authentic details. From here, you are just a few steps away from the harbour, the beach and the bustling alleys of the medina – right in the middle of authentic Tunisian life, with a unique blend of tranquillity and vibrancy. The accommodation is easily accessible: it is around 65 kilometres from Tunis-Carthage Airport, and we are happy to organise a transfer directly to our house on request. Those who prefer to travel by public transport can easily reach us by bus or one of the shared taxis that run regularly between Tunis and Bizerte. Taxis are also available in the city at any time, and if you would like to hire a car, we are happy to arrange this for you. There is ample secure parking nearby, so guests with hire cars have nothing to worry about. Al-Madina Bizerte is ideally equipped for remote working. The Wi-Fi is reliable and fast, with speeds between 300 and 450 Mbit/s, allowing several people to hold video conferences or transfer large files at the same time without any problems. There are various work areas in the building – from the in-house café with internet access to comfortable seating areas on each floor and the bright breakfast room, which becomes a quiet workplace during the day. Those looking for a change of scenery will find numerous cafés in the medina that are also great places to work. The best way to get around the area is on foot, as everything is within easy reach. Buses and shared taxis connect the city with the surrounding regions, taxis are inexpensive and widely available, and those who wish to can explore the coast or the hinterland by rental car. An SUV is not necessary for this. There are plenty of shopping opportunities: just five minutes away is the daily market, where local farmers offer fresh fruit, vegetables, organic meat and freshly caught fish. The nearest Monoprix supermarket is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk away, and Carrefour is about twenty minutes away. There are also numerous restaurants, bars and cafés in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation – you practically step out the door and find yourself in the middle of the city's culinary life. Many attractions, museums and craft shops are just a few minutes away, and tour operators pick up our guests directly from the accommodation to take them to places such as Ichkeul National Park or the surrounding beaches.
