Piedmont

Piedmont, Italy

Description

Piedmont, Italy's staid northwestern region, is famous for the country's most tradition-bound cooking—insanely eggy pasta, Vitello tonnato, the boiled-meat dish bollito misto, and rivers of pedigreed red wines like Barolo, Barbera and Barbaresco.

On the edge of the old town of Dogliani stands this small, very authentic stone house. The house is located near the historic city gates, making you really feel like you are part of the town's rich past. On the ground floor there is a small kitchen equipped with everything you need for everyday life. The beautiful living space can be used as a workspace as well as a studio, pop-up space or studio. The adjacent courtyard is shared with the neighbours; a large wooden bench, a table, and a few chairs invite you to chat with the locals. An external staircase leads to the bedroom with a double bed on the first floor; there is also the bathroom, shower, toilet and washing machine. The town of Dogliani is a comune in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres southeast of Turin and about 35 kilometres northeast of Cuneo.
