Experience the true African Bush, but then with reliable fast Wi-Fi! We're situated in a nature reserve, with animals like giraffe, zebra, impala, hippo etc. on your doorstep! Despite the animals, it's still safe to walk and cycle on the reserve (no lion/elephant/buffalo). The lodge is situated directly on the mighty Olifants River, and all the rooms have an amazing view of the river. There is a large communal area with open office, kitchen, lounge/bar, and magnificent deck overlooking the river. The area invites to connect with other nomads and travellers, but the rooms are spacious enough to work or relax without any distractions. Furthermore, all rooms have their own desk with ergonomic chairs. We've installed fast and reliable wifi in all rooms, including the communal areas. If you rather don't share a kitchen, we also have a unit that's equipped with its own kitchen. The closest restaurant is a 10-minute drive away. If you need to shop, Hoedspruit is a 25-minute drive, a much liked, tourist friendly, town with all the shops and restaurants you need. In the vicinity, there are loads of activities to do: game drives in the famous Kruger national park, exploring the panorama route and Blyde River Canyon, various animal rehabilitation centres, bushwalks, hikes and much more. The lodge owners are deeply involved in conservation and community development projects in the surrounding area. *The Apartment Located in the North of Durban, the apartment comprises an open plan kitchen, dining area and living space which extends onto a private terrace. The kitchen is completely equipped with a range of appliances including a coffee machine, toaster, microwave and oven. There is also a workspace with a monitor and WFI. The main bedroom has an extra length queen sized bed with ensuite whilst the second bedroom has two single beds (can be joined to form a double on request). All rooms have ducted air conditioning. The unit comfortably accommodates 4 people. *Ocean Dune amenities The unit has two allocated vehicle parking spots however there is also visitor parking. There are two swimming pools - one Olympic sized (length) and a communal deck splash pool with incredible views of the ocean. A forest walk to Umdloti beach is also accessible from the complex. A quick 5 minutes drive or uber ride and you are in the heart of Umhlanga. *Guest access Located 10km from the Durban International airport, the complex is highly secure with biometric controller access, cameras and 24 hour security guards. The apartment also offers excellent access to the Umhlanga and greater Durban areas with direct road connections via the N2 or M4 highways.

Antbear Lodge is situated in the Drakensberg region of KwaZulu Natal near to Giants Castle. What makes our lodge particularly special is that we offer accommodation in a luxury cave. This is an accommodation unit built under a rock. Glass doors open onto a wooden deck with hammock chairs and a spectacular view of the Drakensberg Mountains. This is a luxury eco experience. The cave is cozy and comfortable with features like a Jacuzzi spa bath and a fireplace and even has rock art on its walls. We also offer a private dining experience where we set up a table on the deck of your cave and you dine by candlelight under the stars. Antbear Lodge is one of those smaller owner-run establishments with 15 accommodation units as either Mountain View suites or Garden view suites. Sustainability and responsible tourism are a huge part of the ethos of our lodge and we subscribe as much as possible to the farm-to-plate concept. We cook all our meals from scratch and have our own organic vegetable garden. We have our own chickens for eggs, cows for milk and bake our own bread and we even make our own cheese. Antbear Lodge also offers horse trails ideally suited to beginners. Hot air balloon flights that launch from the lawn in front of the lodge and our newest attraction is our star gazing hammock camp where we tell the Zulu stories of the stars. The area offers a lot of spectacular hiking trails with dramatic views and waterfalls. And then there is the spectacular bushman rock art where you can see some of the best examples in the world.

Pumula Surf House is situated just a short 300m walk to the beach, Our surf house is on the KwaZulu Natal south coast of South Africa; this area is well known for its good waves and all year round great weather and sunny days. Pumula is a small seaside village, and Pumula beach has waves for all levels and is never crowded. Pumula Surf house has been running successful since 2013 Wake up to a nice cup of coffee overlooking the stunning views, take a run or a stroll down to the beach for a surf, and enjoy a fresh, healthy, delicious breakfast, either on the beach or back at the surf house. Our head surf coach and owner is a local South African Pro Surfer. Justin Maisch has competed both internationally and nationally. He has his South African Springbok colours for surfing when he represented SA in the world games in Brazil. He is a brilliant surfer and an excellent coach. He has trained his staff well and they maintain his excellent level of coaching. His wife Hayley runs the Surf House and the kitchen with her right hand lady Rita, a local lady. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. They cater for all diets including vegan and gluten free. You can also self cater in the Surf House communal kitchen if you prefer to do so. Yoga classes are done by various yoga teachers either on the beach or on the forest yoga deck. They also offer tours to various places of interest, including adventure tours to zip lines in the game reserve and crazy high waterfall swings. Tours to cultural areas and hikes can also be arranged. Fancy a new surfboard? Justin and his brother own the only local surfboard factory, hand-shaped, custom surfboards made to order. Pumula Surf House is the only locally owned and run surf house in the area. A family-run business, and when you stay here, you will immediately become one of the family. It's an incredible experience. They do surf lessons for all levels and will custom make your surf lesson to suit your ability and needs. All linen is provided but please bring your own beach towels. Pumula Surf House is well know for their excellent surf lessons, delicious meals and great vibes. A pack of friendly dogs and cats live on the property. Along with an abundance of local indigenous animals, such as the very cute Vervet Monkeys, watch them swinging in the trees and being cute, as well as tons of different birds. Hear the call of the African Fish Eagle and watch them soar over the valley.
