In the surrounding area there are more than 50 dining options, including many inexpensive seafood restaurants, local Thai cuisine, pizza, Mediterrean or high-end restaurants of, for example, the Novotel or Marriot Hotel. Nearest Thai and Western restaurant: only 30 seconds by scooter or car. High level healthcare: even the smallest medical posts are well equipped, especially for first aid. The international hospitals in Rayong (40 km), Chonburi (100 km) and of course Bangkok (180 km) offer the more specialized interventions or treatments. The region also has an adequate ambulance service.
A warm welcome to the Pink Kangaroo Bungalows from Dick (Australian) and Wan (Thai). This bungalow has been crafted to offer a genuinely tropical stay, with a beautiful surrounding palm trees and a calming creek. If you're after a serene stay or a Zen working/living space - this location is ideal! You'll experience a truly tranquil and unique stay with all the comforts that you could need. A beach of golden sands and crystal clear waters is only a hop, skip and short moped ride away (700m) You will have access to good wi-fi (up to 13mb/s), which can definitely handle a Zoom call or two! But please note, this is a tropical island and as with any utilities - although very rare - you may experience a drop in service. (yes, even here we have trees or vehicles that try to demolish power poles) . We have hosted many happy digital nomads. Our fully equipped and self-sustained bungalows (this is 1 of 3) offer everything you would need for a long term stay. They are also perfect for a slightly shorter stay too! You will be able to enjoy preparing and cooking your own meals in your fully equipped kitchen. You will have a gas hob burner and also a microwave and ample fridge/freezer and cupboard space. If you don't fancy cooking your own meals, there are plenty of great little restaurants a short distance away. Temperature control has never been a problem in our bungalows, with fans to cool and extractor fans to take away excess heat. You will also have fly screens for the windows and doors to ventilate to your hearts desire whilst keeping any pesky critters out. Unfortunately we do not offer air conditioning due to a lack of high usage power supplies. We also can not guarantee hot water. But then; who needs hot water when the constant temperature is around 28/29 C. Facilities such as laundry, a small hospital, pharmacies and motorbike rentals are within easy reach. This will be your own private, tropical and fully equipped space but if you should ever need any assistance or guidance for the island, your hosts will be around to help! Please bear in mind, this is not a hotel and servicing of the rooms with clean towels and sheets is carried out every 4/5days. The studio is one of the few affordable self-contained accommodations on the island. We will provide a clean living space and trust that you will leave the bungalow in a similar manner. Just remember, sit back and relax you will be in paradise and still earning money!!!! How to get there: Fly to Bangkok airport take a transfer flight to Thrat, Then take a Taxi, about 20 kilometers and costs about 700B to the pier to catch the ferry to Ku Kut Island. It is also recommended if you have a duel sim card smart phone to get a Sim card from the Airport to pop into your phone. The phone coverage is fine on the island bit it helps to have a local sim. P.S. our latest review……. By Adam, Dick & Wan’s bungalows are an excellent place to stay. They provide a choice of bungalows, ranging from a compact bungalow to a full 1 brm apartment. Our stay in the Studio bungalow for 2 weeks was superb. It provided all the amenities one could desire for a short or long stay. The large porch with large table for working overlooking the beautiful garden and the jungle was a highlight feature for us. Inside a nice couch, coffee table for watching the Smart Android TV complete with VPN for world TV
